I received the "stay a member for a year" achievement (which I meet), but also got the "kill 1,000 goblins" achievement, which should not be right unless creatures without the word goblin in their name and descriptor are considered goblins too. Don't know if getting two achievements at one time is linked or not.

It's probably working correctly. The two different redcaps also count as Goblins. I have a partial count for those atm, but not the full achievement, so other than being released on the same day, it seems like the achievements aren't otherwise connected.

Many members of my clan have this without recalling hitting goblins or redcaps that often.

I won't discount the fact I could be wrong and it over inflates values or is broken somehow. But there might be creatures that count I'm not aware of as being goblins as well.

Without a firm ruling from on high on what qualifies for the achievement, any of those options (or a combination thereof) might be accurate really.

I think it's a case of creatures counting when they probably shouldn't, and my primary guess for the culprit is the practice dummy. Secondary guess would be the Mountain Giants
