"Yeah, something. A door. Doesn't look like much, but I didn't want to open it without warning anyone."
Shan is being cautious, but a faint sense of curiosity tingles at the back of his mind. He grips the handle, and, with a fair amount of effort, he pulls the door open. The stone grinds against the floor, and there's a faint rush of wind as the air inside the room mixes with the somewhat staler air on the other side. Shan peeks around the door. The space inside can't be more than three feet deep, and it's filled with the remains of a couple small crates. Whatever had been inside them has apparently decayed to dirt.
"Hmm... Looks like a closet," Shan mutters. Stepping around the debris, he taps on the walls inside until he's satisfied they're solid, then returns to the room.
"I guess that's secure enough." |

Semaj receives the jab from Lucy. It hurt more than it should have but not more than expected. Semaj turns to Lucy in response.
"OUCH... I mean yeah, when everyone is ready." Semaj rubbed the small of his back as he lipped the phrase 'That hurt' to Lucy. Semaj then opened his black book quickly to a marked page, looked it over and close the book, tucking it away.
The fact that the whole room dove for cover at Semaj's previous comment didn't escape Petros' eyes.
"Father, have you been using fireballs in in-closed spaces again?" Petros asked Semaj. Semaj shrugged as Petros shook his head.
Petros then went on to raised a platform as Gordon requested. "Stone is my specialty." Petros commented as he then moved up to the front of the group next to Semaj.
"Ready when everyone else is." Semaj stated. "I'll wait for a go ahead this time..."

Climbing onto the platform, Gordon looks strait at the door. The hair on his head as well as those standing near him begins sticking up as a charge builds up. "Ranged up here, melee to the door. Ready your weapons." Gordon allows for everyone to finish moving to there proper position. "Valadin if you could." Gordon motions towards the door.

Valadin bows deeply. "It would be my most heartfelt honor to-" Ceriph elbows him in the side as she draws one of her Winter touched swords with her left hand.
"Just open the door, dummy" she says with sisterly ire. He sighs, then opens the door. He charges through and then drops to one knee in one smooth motion, thus blocking anything from leaving the room and attacking the group but still allowing the group to see (and shoot) into the room.
Ceriph, her eyes curiously flat and absent looking, moves at the same time. She slips around his bulk with practiced ease and steps to just to the left of the door, her sword at the ready.
[OOC: I didn't want to go too far ahead but if there are any wraiths in the room, you can assume the two siblings will start fighting. Valadin with being using his repeater if he has room or his Tiger Claws if pressed but Ceriph just has her two WinterSlay blades. Finally, if another golem/Magus in the group tries to enter the room, Valadin can and will let them by easily- he's well practiced at team fighting.] |

Inside the room, drawing all the attention is the floating sphere in the middle, it's smooth surface untouched by even a ripple. standing before the rift a single wraith bathed in the purple glow of the rift.
The colour on Gordon's face drains away. The room is covered ceiling to floor in the runes, each glowing in tune with the stabilized rift. "That... isn't possible." Gordon wispers, suddenly coming out of the shock of seeing the rift Gordon yells, "Destroy that wraith!"
With out pause Frost fire Leaps forward and enters the room, sword draw towards the wraith.

"That's what I was waiting for, PETROS! Throw me!" Semaj exclaimed upon the command of destroy.
Without hesitation Petros pulled a boulder from the ground about 5 foot in diameter and much denser then normal and hurled it at the wraith. Semaj was then thrown right behind it. Semaj's hand glowed a soft white aura that seemed to disrupt the air as he approached his target. Whether or not Semaj hits his mark things where going to get shaken up.
((OOC: Going in with two spells. Holy Smite and a dispelled. If I hit the wraith gets jacked up, if I don't his ruins get jacked up. That's the plan anyways...)) |

"Harvester - open fire! Slicer - breach right!" Thuriya calls out to her golems. The bone golem slides past Valadins bulk to the right (opposite of Ceriph) while uncoiling its spiked chain with a muted rumble.
The large Clay golem draws back its bow and while ice crystals form in the air on the arrows tip, waits for Semaj's hurled form to be out of the line of fire. |

| Laidan notes the rush toward the wraith, blinks, shrugs, and turns to cast Hasten on any of the archers which don't already have it, while sending his iron golem to cover the unopened door in case something should come through it while the main group is distracted. The gem golem he keeps with him, ready to deploy as needed. |

As soon as the wraith is visible, Eurus recognizes it as an enemy and begins marching forward automatically.
Shan starts chanting his golem invocation, streamlining his control of Eurus. The calcified golem then breaks into a run toward the door, though it is still behind the rest of the fighters. |

Salvos of ammunition begin pounding into to wraith, there is some sort of field deflecting many of the shots, but most where finding there mark. As if coming out of a trance the wraith turned part way so that it can see its attackers.
Purple eyes, much like the rift itself, now facing the group. The wraiths body begins to shake from the damage, but it turns back to the rift and continues slowly moving forward still oblivious to the violent attack ripping into it.
(OCC: Kaelas I'm just going to assume Ceriph rushes forward with Frost fire I'll change it if you'd like me to) In rush of speed Ceriph followed by Frost Fire reach the wraith. In the span of seconds the wraith loses it's arms and ghastly wounds riddle it's body. And as quickly as it begun, it had ended.
The wraith collapses to the ground still feet away from the rift. It shadowy form spreading out on the floor like smoke.

Deciding not to trust the thing's death so easily, Valadin continues to pepper the corpse with a few more shots as he slowly approaches it. Responding in kind, the gem golem also hacks away at it, each blow leaving a line of frost in its wake.
"Ceriph, stand down to sentry status pending threat assessment" Valadin orders crisply. Her eyes still flat, blank, Ceriph nods once before falling back into a balances fighting stance.
[OOC: You were spot-on, Gordon, thanks. And again, if an enemy pops up, the two will attack it but other than that, they're standing down for now.] |

"I almost feel sorry for that one..." Kyomi mumbles to Her Shadow, "Throw the blank, would you?"
Her Shadow nods, and takes what looks like fist sized marble from Kyomi. With a moment to estimate distance, he rolls it along the floor, managing to get it past all the shuffling feet and falling monster bits, and have it bump against the wraith's fallen form.
Kyomi weaves a hand in the air, "So you fall, so I lift, bind." And the marble starts trying to pull the last bits of energy from the fallen wraith.

Smoke puffs from Ponds fingers as he traces the Burning Aura Spell on 88 "I did it 88, my first spell in combat! now charge forward and ATTTTACKKK.... oh where'd it go?"
"hmph reading a spell of a scroll doesn't make you a magi any idiot can do that... and just did" 88 glances over to where the wraith fell "now go ask Kyomi if you can borrow her new toy". |

Cautiously Gordon moves forward into the room, looking all around Gordon checks for more wraiths, but doesn't find any. almost disturbed by the fact Gordon begins inspecting the runes casting ever down ward until his eye catches on what appears to be a pile of rubbish.
Kyomi's marble begin to darken the moment it hits the wraith, but quickly subsides as the wraiths remaining energies are drawn away. |

Also taking caution Lucy enters the room and walks to Gordon's side. "Something is wron-" Her eyes are drawn to the "pile of rubbish" laying on the floor, but her keen eyes seen the truth. "That's a... wrath?" Lucy looks up to Gordon, but now she sees them. Hidden by the glow the rift corpses of wraiths, dozens in fact. Each noting but burnt char, their energy completely siphoned out, and Lucy knows where.
Looking to Gordon she sees the concern in his eyes, they both turn there eyes towards the rift. There, slowly, barley noticeable, a ripple spreads across it's smooth surface. |

| Eurus screeches to a halt. Shan had been expecting more resistance, but the only wraith had fallen already. He wasn't going to charge into a room if he couldn't see the enemy. Maybe he would sneak cautiously into such a room, but for now he chose to hold his ground. |

"Ceriph, 'ware the rift" Valadin calls out even as he moves to block it's direct path to Gordon. He's not sure of its exact nature but even just knowing its name is enough to suggest something might exit it. And given what opened it, that something is not likely to be friendly by any means.
Ceriph nods once, then moves around the rift to to the back of the room, slightly to the side of Valadin and the door so people can shoot without too much risk of hitting her. |

Gordon lowly backs away from the rift, "We have a problem." Gordon calls out. "I'm not sure what it is, but I know it's coming from the rift." as if on cue more ripples begin forming across the rifts surface. The movement becoming obvious for all to see. "We need to get out of this room."
The ripples continue gain intensity forming waves. "Hurry!" Gordon yells as he back out towards the door. |

Still standing next to the rift and highly disappointed Semaj reaches into his cloak and pulls out the modified power supply he had earlier pulled from the clockwork elephant they had encountered.
"Yeah, I hope whatever is coming though likes fire and explosions. FIRE IN THE HOLE!" Semaj yells as he crosses two wires on the power supply and casually tosses it into the rift. He then B-lines it to the door, unaware as to how much of the impending explosion would spill from the rift.
Petros would remain in the room to ensure everyone else safe retreat. |

Without missing a beat, Valadin lunges to his feet and calls out, "Lady Lucy, hie!" as he tries to pick her up. Golems, even clay golems, are much faster than the average human so he assumes he'd be able to get her out faster than she could herself. And worst to worst, if he's carrying her in front of him when the explosion catches them, his body would shield her from a wicked blast indeed.
At the far side of the room, Ceriph sees the incoming explosive, sees that Lucy and Gordon are likely to be caught in the resulting explosion and reacts in accordance with her programing- protect humans. Breaking into a sprint, she sheaths her sword to free her hands and make her attempt to pick Gordon up easier.
[OOC: both golems will be rather insistent in their attempts to help but not to the point of arguing about it so long they're all still standing there in the room when the explosion happens. That would be rather counter-productive.) |

88 grins for a split second then shakes his head as if dismissing an idea and then acts as all good golems should and protects his human. Never mind any possible explosion, the golems hurriedly exiting the room could prove a threat to any one stupid enough not to get out of the way. 88 considered who his human was and decided there was only one safe place for him.
"Ahhh - Hey why'd you throw me in the clos..." squeaked Pond before being cut off by a stone door being slammed. |

Eurus takes a few quick steps toward the door and stands to the side. It stays out of the way of the others' withdrawal, but prepares to shut the door as soon as necessary.
Now that the ripples across the rift are intensifying, Shan is able to perceive the activity through Eurus' eyes. After many years of having things try to kill him in caves, Shan expects only a few options for what will come next. He feels he's ready for them. |

Kyomi and Her Shadow run by 88, "You better get him out of there when this is done!" She says to the quirky golem as she goes by. "I may be able to dampen any negative waves coming from that portal though..."
"Safe distance first." Her Shadow reminds her.
"Right right." Kyomi replies, partially rounding a corner and putting her book on the floor. "Alright... Lets see if I can still use that gem."
(ooc: attempting to drain more energy out of the portal, if it explodes, or what not.) |

Gordon was rushing to much, the door was a bottle neck and it wouldn't do any good to panic. Besides Gordon was more concerned about everyone else, he had planed a fail safe for these types of situations and would be fine.
With a flash the rift sent lose a beam of white light, followed another flash and subsequent beam. Even as the last few people piles out more beams of light ripped there way out of the rift filling both room with blinding light. Then the rift now a blinding white shrunk, and in the span of three seconds was gone.
Shocked by the sudden darkness Gordon turn to the rifts last location. Blinking the after images out of his eyes Gordon could see there was something hanging in the air where the rift was. (OOC: have you ever been out on a bright day then walked into a dark room, this is the same kind of thing, just a bit more extreme.) His Eyes adjusting more could see it was red, and it looked to be a piece of cloth.
A voice shot out, quite, but clear, each word felt like something was trying to claw it's way out of your head, yet impossibly it was soothing. What ever words it spoke were clearly not of our world. Gordon, against his will began shaking.
His eyes finally adjusted Gordon could now see, floating 5 feet in the air a figure floated, clad in an unadorned red robe that flowed out in every direction. It head lifted up and four yellow slits opened, presumably eyes. Gordon found him self running through his mind, trying to figure out what this... thing was, but he even if he did know he wasn't given the time. Gordon, along with Lucy, Semaj, and anyone else still in the room are picked up and thrown against the wall away from the door and pinned. Gordon slams into the wall with a grunt.
The Creature takes a quick appraisal of those pinned and says, "What..." the jarring qualities of it's voice some what diminished. "Do we have here?"
