Dammit! I just bought these clothes!

Expensive, but now ruined and smoldering black leathers peel off her body as she changes from human back to dragon form. With a mighty downward thrust of her great wings, she launches herself into the afternoon sky - vengeful eyes fixed upon her tormentor*

(with great effort, ninomai fights off unconciousness and numbing pain and focuses back on her quarry. she immediately spots the huge, sinister form of caerula as the dragon starts to bank around for another pass)
holy crap! the bigger they are, the harder they hit! well enough of this sh*t. time to go to "plan b"...
(ninomai calmly puts on a pair of black leather gloves and reaches, with both hands, into one of the large pockets of holding inside her leather trenchcoat...)
okay b*tch. try this one on for size.
(ninomai pulls back and releases the charging handle of her '+2 bren gun of penetration', and from the hip unleashes an incredible barrage of armor-piercing death just as caerula swoops in for the kill)

*Caerula starts flying an erratic course in the hope of throwing off Ninomai's aim. Unfortunately, the price for her evasive actions is speed - and judging from the heat and the increasingly powerful hammering her back is taking, Ninomai is closing the distance*

*Caerula turns left from the main boulevard onto another well traveled road. Her mood immediately brightens. It's not exactly what she was looking for, but it will do. At the sound and smell of approaching dragon, the livestock panics and flees any which way it can, hitting the fences in dozens of places. The fences crash to the ground and the animals break into a terrified run, causing panic in the streets.
Except for one particularly cantankerous, belligerent, and stubborn old camel. It stupidly stands in place, disinclined to do anything it doesn't want to do, whatsoever. |

(ninomai laughs maniacally as she watches the dragon seemingly crash in to the crowded pens and buildings of the southtown stockyards. caerula's impact raised a huge cloud of dust, debris, hay, and irate chickens - effectively hiding her grounded form from view. ninomai lands just outside the stockyards, carefully avoiding panicked livestock. she exhales a labored breath)
(sigh) i've got to end this right now.
(ninomai unslings her bren gun and lets it fall to the ground after making sure that the weapon's clan recovery beacon had activated. she then reaches into another pocket of holding and retrieves one of her clan's precious few panzerfaust 60s. she pulls the weapon's safety ring, deploys its simple aperture sight, and heads into the stockyards)
here dragon, dragon, dragon. mama's got a special surprise for you... |

*Caerula sits up, coughs out a mouthful of hay, and takes a look at the livestock her ample arms have managed to scoop up to her chest. Two pigs, half a dozen sheep, and one very belligerent camel*

(ninomai turns to her right after sensing movement, and spots caerula's outstretched silhouette. she brings up the panzerfaust. unfortunately, the downdraft from caerula's beating wings, and the debris it kicks up, temporarily blinds and forces her to her knees. ninomai recovers, stands up, and shakes the dirt out of her hair. looking up, she sees caerula gaining altitude, but at such an unexpected slow rate. in fact, she seems to be laboring to stay aloft)
she's gotta be wounded or tired - maybe both.
(ninomai checks her fly spell duration and motivation count - both still in the green. she checks the condition of her panzerfaust, and then geefully goes airborne in pursuit)
i have you now, b*tch. |
