Your golem backs up so that it can use its repeater dart tube effectively. The attacker's repeater dart tube is out of range with about 91 feet between them. A kobold raider attacks with its iron-tipped crossbow and misses 3 times, but also hits the abdomen (6 dmg) and the left arm (10 dmg). Iron Crossbow stats: Precision: +15%, Speed: 10, Range: 80ft, Ammo: Bolts This might not be a bug, I suppose. But I thought I'd point it out, just in case. |

Yes the golems still back outta range when using ranged weapons. I didn't save the post I know it still happens. |

That's not the issue in this thread. The issue is that enemy monsters are using far superior equipment to what they're listed as having - note the range on the "crossbow" the enemy has. |

Actually, IS same issue. Ranged stuff is, to say the least, odd. Debug console and Battle Reports give conflicting reports of distance. Movement actually happens multiple times per combat round, but I've yet to figure out WHEN. This is a bit of a tangled morass that I do not truly wish to delve into, not having coded it and thus being rather impotent with regards to fixing it. |

Actually, given that the crossbow range is 80 feet, and it was fired from 91 feet, I think that just means the monster has at least an 11 foot inherent reach, giving it the size of a medium golem or larger. This would be a simpler explanation if I understand the rules correctly, so could someone with the visibility to see that kind of thing give a quick confirm or deny? |
