I cast it on my clay 5, and it never activated. Didn't see any "ice crystals forming in the air" in blue text at the start of combat at all. But when I checked my golem page, it clearly said, Frostbite time left: 1hr. 58min. 17 sec.

Actually, now I think that did activate, it just didn't show the message. In two of my combats w/ the gelatinous cube, one time it didn't show the text, and then it did, but there really wasn't a diff. in the amount of damage I dealt.

Yeah, this happens a lot to me. Never really paid much attention to it because the effect was present despite the notice being missing.

EDIT: I should add that I see this happening with other spells, mostly frost resist and thunderous blast.

Could it be skipping the first round due to distance? If the first round is merely closing due to distance, it's often not shown entirely - including first-round messages. If that's the case there should be a small notice saying "round 1-3 skipped" or something similar.

I know this also happens with the Sonic Resistance Spell. I thought I would give it a try again Yameth...DON'T DO THAT.

The spell didn't display at all and I don't know if it worked or not either.
