Whew! you weren't kidding when you said more damage was dished out. I could usually let my lvl. 1 flesh golem flail helplessly versus the Lvl. 3 wolf spiders in Yul's marsh for XP mining, but no longer! That critter took off two arms, a leg and sent him crying back to the lab.
Of course, I could put more hurt on it, and there was probably a good chance I could've finished it off if it didn't rip his appendages off. >.<

Hurry up, upgrades! Pappy needs a Clay Golem bad!

Sent a Fleshy against the spider this morning. First battle it ripped off the left hand. Second battle, it ripped off the right hand...

You think you got it bad? I sent it one time... ONE TIME!.. and it ripped my left hand and left leg off. Just something about those spiders and the left sides of the golem's body.
