Yamiko's stomach rolls with nerves. Was he... was he implying...? No, he was probably making smalltalk. After all, who would want her, after she'd been so publicly humiliated?

Oh my god, he IS asking me out, thinks Yamiko to herself, at first with surprised delight, then with growing horror. This is Karma, isn't it? I kiss someone I shouldn't have and suddanly a cute, influential Magus asks me to the one event I can't attend. Perhaps honest would help...
Yamiko tucks some hair behind her ear, nervously. "I would love to go with you," she begins, slowly, "I truly would. But... I don't... often do well around the sentient golems, ever since my.. my injury." Hating herself for not being... whatever... enough to just suck it up and go, she hangs her head, moving to take a large sip of her drink. |

"It would have to be an elaborate disguise indeed, for Kaelas not to recognize me immediately... perhaps a magical component? Some of the security are more... have keener olfactory senses than magi, so some sort of scent will need to be used..."
Yamiko has always loved a puzzle - the puzzle aspect of how to be fully disguised intrigues her, at least at the moment, more than the prospect of the party frightens her. |

"The Chancellor worked his magic on every golem in the depot - including what was left of a former student's famed Hunter Killer and Skeletal Boxer projects. Once they were all the rage, before they fell out of fashion in favor of gem golems - they retain their exquisite craftsmanship and... aggressive natures now that they are Sparked. They enjoy working security at events such as this." |

| Yamiko's smile grows to be a little more smirkish. "A magus cannot control the personality during the process. It appears to be influenced by their past use, with new golems getting a more or less random personality." She pauses to take a sip. "As I said, he sparked every golem the clan owns, as well as many of my own, all of his own, and I suspect many of Sconibulus' golems. His only restraint was that any golem likely to be killed won't be Sparked - so many of the clan's adamantine defenders are unsparked, as well as hunting golems that are meant to be disposable." |

He didn't go berserk and try to kill Coyne on sight, however. So if they do, it's tempered by judgement, at least in most cases." |
