"Corsica" manages to hide a giggle under a suddan fit of coughing. She looks away, trying to regain sobriety, noticing Five and Mech dancing together offhandedly.

Narrowing his eyes at Laiden, the aged professor sniffs disdainfully. "I know who you are, youngster. Seem to be making anyone Magistrates these days, all the honor is gone from that once noble office. Bah." He lowers his cane to steady himself and his golem stops trying to help him remain standing straight.

He sniffs again, then adds, "and I hear just fine, thank you very kindly." Of course, this is somewhat of a falsehood- he hears fine when he's using the listening aide spell he'd crafted for himself. A less polite name for said spell could perhaps be 'eavesdropping spell' but that's not particularly important in Hermes' book. His gaze goes along the couple's likely path to land on Viktor. Frowning, he remarks mostly to himself, "why that's a golem, not a costume... why is it wearing such ridiculous attire?"

All of this completely ignores Laiden's implied request for a return introduction- but whether this is rudeness or simple absent mindedness is up to debate.

Laidan maintains his polite smile. "Yes, they do seem to be allowing anyone to be a magistrate. Well, nearly anyone anyway." Just the slightest pointed look at Hermes as he says that. Turning to his lady he asks "Are you alright there Corsica?" with a bit of a glimmer in his eye, recognizing her "fit"

Raiden noticed that someone seemed to be regarding him and he gave a long look before speaking. "Is something the matter?" The contents of his cup would actually be pretty amazing for anyone that had caught sight of it, the outside looked to be partially frozen in spots with bits of frost while the inside of the cup looked like it was boiling. It was a very wary thing for that sort of inconsistency to happen and even more so for the cause to be unaware. The only hint that Raiden had that there was STILL a building feeling of Chaos. He went to attempt to sip his drink when several things happened. The liquid inside was trying to rapidly cool to a drinkable temperature, as that was what Raiden was expecting. At the same time, the skewed chances of having boiling liquid in a freezing cup broke down and reacted accordingly, which led to the cup exploding in his hands, sending scalding punch all over Raiden, which was also enough to knock him over.

A brief moment passes before two glass golems and a stone golem all try to swoop in at once and clean up the mess. The stone golem attempts to clean Raidan - perhaps a little vigorously. The glass golems are much hindered trying not to be stepped on as they try to sop up the mess with rags, all the while trying to re-assure Raidan he's no trouble at all, really, they'll have this clean in a jiffy.

The room is filled with distractions to which Lucy paids little mind, though she would need to visit Professor Hermes by night end, and she was sure that she knew Liadan's escort from some where...

Lucy Continued through the hall and upon reaching victor said, "You must be Viktor, I'm Lucy Ironsmith." Lucy had an aura of complete ease, "Quite the party Cheriph is throwing for you." She seemed to ignore that Victor didn't seem all too happy about the whole ordeal of the party.

Viktor nods, trying to restrain his displeasure from showing in his voice or on his face. "Indeed. Ceriph is fond of... such... engagements." he manages, in his rich, deep voice.

OOC: I was hoping Sconi would post, since the outside scene seems to be...stalled...

His face cold, Hermes gives Laiden a slightly smug smile. "Things change, lad. Things can change very fast indeed- and it's best if one is prepared for such." Without looking at the golem, Hermes smacks its arm with his free hand. "Get me some wine, red," he instructs the golem crisply.

The golem dips its head, then moves briskly over to get a glass of the red. Still looking at Laiden, Hermes hums thoughtfully. "Corsica, eh?" He laughs a little, then adds, "as you like, I suppose."

Laidan merely smiles amiably back at the man. "It sounds as though you intend to invoke change rather than prepare for it. I would recommend a conversation with a certain chaos mage about unexpected consequences." He glances pointedly at the prone form of Raiden. "Speaking of change, while it has been a pleasure to meet you, sir, we should be greeting the guest of honor." With a slight nod, Laidan sets back on his intended course toward Viktor.

Lucy leans in close, not that it helps much as victor is quite a bit taller. "I suggest that you at least try to enjoy yourself. You might not believe me, but moping about isn't going to help anyone, particularly yourself." It was now apparent Lucy was aware of Victors displeasure, but Gordon was giving Viktor a self help book, so Lucy doubted that if Viktor was going to dislike her for giving advice this wouldn't make anything worse.

Lucy continuing her unconcerned manner with Victor, this being strange as most people would feel uncomfortable standing inches from a Golem that towers over you, particularly one who thinks for himself. Changing the subject, "I'm herbalist, I collect and tend a large selection of rare and common herbs which I supply primarily in Kern and Dimitra. I'm also always trying to cross breed new plants finding out what they do is always exciting... but Victor this is your party so please tell me a little about yourself."

Sconi's body is under the wreckage of the crashed flying machine, battered and broken, pulse faint and thready. He lies unconcious, suffering from several cracked ribs, a broken right arm, a broken left leg, bone bone sticking out, and a completely crushed right foot, along with dozens of smaller cuts and bruises.

Golden Boy starts lifting off debris to free Sconibulus, and after a few moments, the two adamantine golems that had been serving as cerimonal guards to the hotel come to lend a hand. Neither appears sparked, given their sluggish reactions and long, ponderous pauses as they process standing orders to see what applies as the situation changes.

Hearing the crash outside, Kaelas heads for the entrance without a word. Phedre frowns, worried, but remains. She's not a healer or a Magus, so she's like as not able to help with whatever is happening outside but she can at least take over for her husband in his duties as a host.

"Raiden lad, are yae alright? Seem to be having a wee bit of a problem." Hmmm, she might have had a bit of the punch by this point herself...

His thoughts raced as do most drunk peoples.

Gordon watched as Petros walked towards the party, he had only set the spell to take him a 100 feet or so. "Good for him." Gordon drew another spell in the ground and set off towards home, time waits for no one...

((OOC: I'm sorry, I've lost track of whose tag it is, and since I'm not the only one I'm sure, a quick recap:

Gordon, and Petros have been doing stuff related to their plot, but that seems to have ended now.

Semaj is drunk and talking to himself outside. Someone should approach him.

Raiden is causing a scene, and Phedre is taking to him about it. It's Raiden's tag.

Sconi is ~~dead~~ greviously injured and being tended to, so he's out of the thread.

Lucy is talking to Viktor -- oh hey that's me. I'll tag for that.

Laidan and "Corsica" are meandering towards Vik, but since Laidan mentioned he's going out of town in chat, they'll take a while to get there. Hermes could stand to tag once more though.

Five and Mech have been informed they have to dance together. I guess it's my tag there too. ))

Viktor nods at the advice. He'd heard the same, often more bluntly, from many sources, and yet... it was difficult to lift his head and walk proudly knowing that he failed his Mistress again and again and that she'd finally abandoned him. His eyes dim a little as he faces facts - if she hadn't arrived by now, she likely wasn't coming. He could hardly expect her to, hating Golemkind as she did, but... he had hoped he meant enough to her for her to brave the room.

And now the Lady wanted him to talk about... himself? "I do not know much of plants," he begins, hesitantly. "I have not found time for hobbies as of late." From there... what to say? Should he mention that "I have been spending a good deal of time instructed to remain at my station"? Oh. Well. He kind of did just say that aloud. "Ms Kuronue was... away, and she entrusted me with her workshop," he adds, weakly trying to justify his statement.

And so, Mech finds herself dancing to a slow song, in Five's arms. She has to admit, it's not something she is proficient in - it's not something she ever thought she'd be doing. Not that it was unpleasant. It was just... different. With a start she realizes that this is... this is something human Magi do. She looks up at Five, tilting her head slightly as she admires his face in the overhead light.

Yes, being alive had some perks indeed.

Lucy Nodded thoughtfully, as some of the pieces fell together. It was now fairly obvious Victor hasn't been able to grown much as a person. "Well perhaps, if was time you learned a few things about plants." Lucy smiles. "Well it doesn't necessarily need to be plants, but maybe you need to get out a mix things up." Lucy began thinking of other places and things Victor might be able to go and enjoy himself.

Viktor hesitates. "That was what was said just before the idea for this.... party... was suggested," he says, reluctantly. Almost as an afterthought, he suggests, softer, "I had hoped She would be here but... I suppose I am truly alone."

He was sure that he had felt some build-up of Chaos...and now it had decreased...but nothing was particularly disastrous or causing a ruckus as he was meant to believe. Maybe he should address that issue. "You would not happen to notice anything strange or odd happening abouts, do you? I mean other than...whatever it was that just happened." He would have noticed if the build-up was around him...he was sure of that.

As Petros approached the outside of the party he took in the scene. Semaj's destroyed helicopter Semaj some distance away drunk on the ground. No apparent casualties, one badly wounded though.

"I told him to build in a locked starter..." Petros commented to himself as he slowly approached Semaj.

Semaj looked over at the thud of unfamiliar footsteps to see an unfamiliar cloaked figure and began to stumble to his feet.

"What might we have he-*HIC*?" Semaj tried to comment as steam still periodically escaped his costume.

If Lucy was able too she would have pick Victor and carried the poor golem home, so instead Lucy reached out and gently patted Victors arm. "Well maybe, if it's alright with you, you could come out to my home. So that you might get your mind off things, and besides we can always use an extra set of hands." Lucy said this with full sincerity.

Laidan and Corsica are by this time waiting patiently behind Lucy, probably withing hearing distance of her conversation with Viktor, unless they are talking quietly. Laidan gives Corsica's arm a supportive squeeze as he flashes a reassuring smile.

Viktor nods politely. "I appreciate the offer, but I will have to check with my superiors to be certain that the program I am undergoing will not be damaged by..." He trails off, seeing Laidan and Corsica arriving. Something about Corsica...

"Good evening...?" he says, staring at Corsica, trying to see through the gem eyeholes, past the mask. She seemed too familiar... "Have I made your acquaintance?" he asks, hesitant. Probably someone he was expected to know but had forgotten. Probably.
