i have been lurking in the forums a bit
and have seen a few things that raises a few questions.where can i upgrade my stables and what do they do?

you first need to get workshop lvl. 18 before you can even construct stables.

As for what they do, for each level of stable you have, you lower the motivation cost to send a golem somewhere by 1.

Of course it never drops below the minimum of 6, but it helps when sending higher level golems or exotics across the map to hunt things or attack a workshop.
