The real drawback to Alchemy clans as it stands is that once you join one, you're stuck there forever - you'll lose your golems if you leave, even if you leave to join another alchemy clan. If you were able to put up offers on the market that only other alchemy clan members could accept, or otherwise give your golems to another party in another eligible clan, you could migrate from one to another. In a larger sense, I suppose it makes sense to sell weapons to other same-spec clans; for example, if we have a higher level of ranged weapon than another clan, we could sell them our big guns, or a melee-defense clan could trade with a defense-melee clan to better themselves. This would foster cooperation between clans. However, only alchemy currently has the drawback of specific golems being lost; while if I were to move to, say, arrow, I'd lose the ranged weapons I have on me, I could get identical ones upon arrival, whereas a fully-boosted transmuted golem cannot easily be reobtained. |

I don't know how the code works, but would it not be simpler to have the golem just revert to it's original material, keeping it's strength enhancement. Then if you move to another Alchemy clan you could re-convert it. |

That would solve the initial issue, and it would be probably easier, but the bonus to my idea is it's more interesting and opens up more player-to-player interaction ;P But yes, I do tend to think of the more fun way to do things rather than the simplest. |
