Now, a machete Viktor can handle. The weapon feels comfortable to his hand; instinctively, thanks to his wartime experience, he knows he could gut a man with it, or take off the head of a lesser golem in a single blow. And a flesh golem... that would take no effort at all. The vines stood no chance.
He walks confidently towards the wall, reaching out - and stops as the vine reaches out to probe his hand tentatively. Well he didn't expect that. Still. He raises the machete, rapidly taking of the tops of three vines in a single swing. He flinches a little as they squeal. "Do plants normally cry out in pain when you prune them?" he asks, curious. "The grass underfoot never made a peep..." |

Lucy lets out a small laugh, "Thankfully no, though there are many who would like to think that plants are felling, even thinking creatures." Lucy pauses slicing several vines. "but with the exception of magic plants like these vines, the only thing that makes plants different then there surrounding is that the grow and die. It makes them living yes, but not feeling." Lucy laughs again, "But the funny thing is is we are helping the buggers, if they weren't pruned they'd chock each other out."
Lucy continues to prune, ignoring the plants protests. |

Viktor nods, continuing the work. Honestly, he wouldn't care much if they were murdering the plants - he was created as a weapon of war, after all, and killing is his job. They could always grow back. He has no real personal connection to the plants, not like he has to...
Best not to think about that.

At first Lucy says nothing, continuing to prune the plants as though she didn't hear the question, then. "Well I suppose you are intimidating, looking from an objective view, however, it generally seem seems that people find all thing intimidating when they don't understand them."
Lucy looks up at Viktor, calmly looking the bronze golem in the eye "But no, I do not find you intimidating Viktor, I'd like to think that I know you well enough to know your not a threat to me, or most anyone else." |

Viktor prunes the plants for another few moments, carefully constructing his next question in his mind.
"Is it possible that I'm intimidating upon first glance, then less so when you get to know me, and then more intimidating again when you get to know me better?" |

| Viktor pauses his work to look at Lucy, rather... oddly. "She had a panic attack when she saw me," he says, quietly. "I don't believe that is a normal reaction. What I am wondering is, am I that terrifying, or is she somehow malfunctioning?" |

Even as hollow as those words can sound, they are the truth." Lucy cuts the last of the vines before bending down tugging a number of tiny vines out the ground.
"Finish those last few vines. there's plenty more work to be done." Lucy is once again smiling, as if any tension from there prior conversation had evaporated into the every more humid air of the green house. "It's going to be a hot one today, not that I have any complaints." |

"To be honest neither do I, but it helps to be aware of these things. The plants are going to need more water." Lucy says letting Viktor finish up before heading back towards those house.
Lucy stops at the stone walls that separates the green house from the main building. On the wall is an old faucet and a number of wooden buckets. "Well lets get to the watering." Lucy places the largest bucket under the faucet and begins to fill the bucket, before she start rummaging though an old crate filled with odd pieces of metal. "There we go." Lucy pulls out one hole filled sheets of metal. "This will make your next job much easier." Lucy fit the piece into the top of the bucket,forming a simple watering can.
"Once this fills take the bucket and evenly water the plants on the tables, it will take several trips to water them all." |

| Viktor nods, falling silent as he goes into the pattern of lugging water, filling buckets, pouring, carrying. This sort of work soothes him - it's simple, but important, something he can use his untiring strength for and not have to think too hard. |

After the watering was finished Lucy began to weed, showing Viktor the small number of resilient plants that had managed to grown in Lucy's other wise immaculate green house. Once finished Lucy rang a small bell with the tip of her finger, causing three slender wood golems to enter the room, who began moving through doing various simple tasks, such as cleaning and removing dead leaves of some of Lucy's large plants.
"Well that should do it for today, nice thing about any garden if you maintain them every day, it takes no time at all." Lucy Smiles, "Well Viktor lets head out side, it about time I showed you around." |

| Viktor nods, moving instinctively even before he's quite caught up to the conversation. "Yes, m'lady," he says, politely. Humans tended to like it when you gave a response to their statements, even if they don't quite require one. |

| "Please, just call me Lucy. I can hardly go out any where with out be called lady this, lady that. Besides friends don't call each other by their titles, do they." Lucy says giving Viktor a friendly wink. Lucy walks out of the green house turning left and opens another door letting the bright summer light into the other wise dimly lit hallway. |

The ground of the Ironsmith estate are quite vast, a good 30-40 acres in total, and surrounded by a thick ring of trees making it imposable to peer out into the surrounding country side and swamp. Grass trimmed and several flower beds make of the front of the property, and an apple orchard on one side of the manor stretches back further into the estate. Behind the manor trails of smoke from the forge rises into the hot bright sky.
Moving trough the grounds are at least a dozen wood golems doing simple chores and keeping the ground neat and tidy. As well a number of human worker moving crates or directing carts filled with ingots for various metals or rods of iron.
Near an entrance to the manor three humans, all well dressed, where conversing. Lucy starts to head in there direction. "Oh good it looks like shes just about done, I should introduce you to Megan while we have the change.
Two of the trio where dress in the garb of Kern successful merchantmen. The third a woman in a styled dress that hung to her ankles, carrying a clip board. |

| Viktor lumbers towards the group, aware that he might seem.... unduly terrifying. He hunches his shoulders a little, trying to look smaller, less monstrous. Instead he just looks self-concious and bashful. |

"Alright! You can expect the full shipment of iron in four days, and the enchanted copper in ten." Megan voice was loud and clear, and had the tone of an experience trades woman. "I hope we can do business in the future."
"Of course, it's been a pleasure withing with you." Said the taller of the two men. "Have a good day."
"Same to you!" Smiled Megan, waving the men off. Megan then turned towards Lucy and Viktor. "Lucy! What can I do for you?"
"Oh I just wanted to introduce you to my guest Viktor, he will be staying at the estate for the next little while." Lucy says motion in Viktor direction. Megan looks at Viktor before taking a step sideways to see if anyone is standing behind Viktor. Lucy coughs a little before pointing directly at Viktor.
Megan looks at Lucy questioning before she stares at Viktor, blinking a little. "Oh I'm sorry! Viktor was it?" Megan say stretching her hand towards the golem. |

| Viktor takes Megan's hand gently, almost afraid he might damage it. "Pleased to make your acquaintance. I am Viktor, property of TOMU clan." Call him old-fashioned, but it just felt more right saying 'property of' than saying or implying 'member of'. |

Lucy coughed as Viktor called himself property. "Meg didn't Gordon tell you about or guest?"
"No I haven't seen Gordon all day something happened at the forge this morning and he's been dealing with it." Megan said before looking at her clip board. "I still need to talk with him, there's another 4 people wanting major orders of iron, and I need to know what production will be like over the next few weeks."
"Well I might as well show Viktor the smithy, and find out what is taking up all my husbands time. Then send him your way." Lucy replyed.
"I'd appreciate that, have a good day Lucy!"
"You too." Lucy said.

"It's unlike Gordon not to inform Megan, especially when I ask him to." Lucy said aloud, if mostly to herself. "Well I'm sure you'll speak to Megan during your say, she is Gordon assistance and deals with most of our business. As I'm sure you know that the iron demand is still going up, we really can't even begin to produce as much as it's demanded." Lucy said, as they approach the forge.
The thick fumes produced by any forge, stream high into the sky before slowing down to a natural pace, leaving the grounds free of the smog. Two clay guards flank the large entrance to the forge armed with wooden shields and spears. Combat golems for sure but nothing to special. one the guards shields was blackened and it's same arm cracked and stiff. |
