Yamiko blushes, looking surprisingly vulnerable and... cute. How long has it been since she looked cute? She's had to grow up so fast - she's always been serious, overworked to the point of exhaustion, and professional in public. It's actually charming to see her acting like a young woman for once.

Kaelas snorts. "There's a reason-," the slightest of hesitations, the barest of pauses as he changes the destination of that sentence, "we never expelled the Imp. Despite the chaos and trouble he causes, he is good at what he does. When he feels like doing it, admittedly."
Rubbing his forehead tiredly, he offers, "would you care for a room for the night, Magus Laidan? It's rather late to have to travel all the way home." |

| After considering for a moment, Laidan nods. "That would probably be a good idea, and much appreciated. After all the excitement already tonight who knows what might happen on my way home." As an afterthought he adds "Assuming you have ample space of course, I wouldn't want to put anyone out." |

Geoffrey, returning with almost any noise at all, smiles every so faintly. "It will be nice, to finally have some use out of the five guest rooms I have to keep clean," he says dryly, earning a look from his 'master' Kaelas. Ignoring the look, the manservant offers a tray of hot herbal tea and chilled fruit juice.
"Hmmph." Giving him one last glare, Kaelas turns back to Laiden and Yamiko. "You should get some more sleep- I'll station a golem" the faintest of emphais on the word to denote it as *just* a golem "just outside the room to get me if you or the Imp need anything. The same as well for you, if you like, Magus." |
