Darghelm, in the Foothills of Ulvania
The hardy people of Ulvania value family bonds and friends over all else, so Darghelm has developed an extensive network of taverns, cozy inns, and messaging systems. They are not a cowardly nor xenophobic people and so allow people from all over the continent to use their taverns and speakeasy establishments.

not sure if this has been brought up already but being able to use custom avatars would be interesting sure it would be purely cosmetic but it would add an alternative to just picking from the 16 or so avatar pictures muelsfell currently has.

Not sure this would have been done even before Kep went mostly MIA. Problem is you would have to submit the avatar to Kep and hope that he loads it onto the database. Which I think would defeat the purpose if you are wanting something unique rather than something copied fifty times.

There are also sizing and format limits that people would whine about if Kep told them, and he has better stuff to do than resize pics, like fix bugs.

Technically incorrect. The reason that Kep cited before for not allowing avatar uploading is that he's worried about the security of the server - someone could upload a file with a virus, for example, and bring down the game. The code for image uploading is fairly simple, but you have to trust that your server is fairly secure.

All it is is a 200x200 pixel image submitted for approval. Virus scan it check for obscenity and approve. Its not like it goes directly to a secure area of the site.

Its done on tons of other game sites, not like an image that small even takes up any space.

if he did do custom avatars i bet he would charge quite a few tickets for the work that it requires.

But I imagine it's something some would be willing to pay for.
