Support for regular items for the above two clans should be coming in quite shortly.

Once I can finally test things and get them working [As of right now I can't see them], I can release a few proof-of-concept items for Alchemy and Spell clans.

Once those are all set and working I can expand from there and have more things for Alchemy and Spell clans, which are my current focus.

Awesome! Will these be available to secondaries as well? Or is the trend with Alchemy secondary not receiving everything to be continued?

The new things not working for secondaries is what needed fixing.

Just need to finalize and recheck and the first two should be ready.

(All this would have been ready much sooner, but I keep having speed problems with this site in particular. Half the time I come here I get speed in the realm of 5kb/s.)

The Proof-of-Concept Golem Wand of the Apprentice should now be live.

It is available at Spell 5.

Also now craftable is Magical Energy, at Spell 10.

If everything "works", more wands will be made.

And Yami you can now make magical energy. I think it might be prudent to farm it because while magical energy doesn't cost anything, it does take 10 hours to make 5.

So my question Gordon/Atropos, is can you sell the manufactured ammo just like the looted stuff? We won't find out for a few years (6 library levels at this rate will take us at least a few years :P) but I'm curious.

I highly doubt it, but I can't say for sure as my clan isn't gonna pick it up. basically 10 rounds of shooting produced a day? no thank you.

Also Yamiko Atropos said it's library level 5 not 10. so I pretty sure you'll be able to pick it up.

@ Atropos: So Are magic clans going to see any more of these wand coming out in the near future or is this a experiment?

Five for the weapon. Ten for the ammo. We have the weapon available but not the ammunition - and as it's basically a spell version of our repeater dart tube, and a touch slower, we'll probably pass.

The weapon is already in the wiki ;P

Notes:

1) Thanks for the typo notice.

2) The creation time on the energy is a relic of the power of the first thing that used it. (It originally took 2 days or so to fire a particular weapon for one fight. It was worth it.)

I'll be dropping the creation time on energy for now, as only the PoC wand is available now.

3) The Wands and Magical Energy are really a thing for Spell Primaries, who haven't been getting anything. A clan with spell secondary probably has better items available.

4) From my understanding of talking with Kep, the energy dropped by creatures should be tradeable and loadable in these weapons. A little bit of economy stimulation.

4b) The clan energy should also be usable on non-clan weapons that use it. This is important, as at least one of these has been kicking around for a while.

5) The next wand on the "To-be-made" line is fireball.

6) The first wand IS only a level 5 item. I am watching the forums for balance concerns for the things I make and the creatures I build. The creation time on the energy should now be much more managable.

Yeah, good news, Gordon, you guys can probably use this thing in place of the repeater in the builds we've been working on for dragons and so forth with no issue. Since we already have a repeater in one of our plentiful primary spots, we'll probably pass.

I'm very excited about the prospect of getting a trade in magical energy going. The market's been flagging lately and Adahn is fairly easy to farm - the real cap is the drop rate.

Well it'll defiantly get tested now and should work nicely.

Though I did choose magical energy now that it time is managable but Adahn is easy to farm, and I'll still be gathering from him, unless SFC continues to Dive in participation like everyone else clans, and I get it all to myself...

But I can't wait to start blowing things up from afar... Sorry in advance to any one who is on the receiving end of frost fire now.

Done and Done I will begin playing with with the wand today.

Also from farming Adhan yesterday, he seems to drop energy every time, but you do need to leave 25 lbs open on your golem.
