It was very challenging to test these.

The code is simple, but there might be unforseen issues.

As these are my spells, I'd like to state that I'm paying attention to both balancing concerns (Cost-vs-reward and actual effectiveness) and bug reports.

The other spells in the anti-magic tree. (As they currently stand conceptually.)

Tier 2:
Sapping Field (Clan Workshop.): Supresses spells and drains energy of both combatants.

Dispel Magic (Clan Golem): Supresses enemy spells. Has a chance to dispel (I.E permanently remove) an active spell on enemy golems.


Tier 3:

Consumptive Field(Clan Workshop): Functions as Sapping field. Deals periodic (Typeless but low) damage to enemy golems (Only) as well.

Disjoin Magic (Clan Golem): As dispel, higher chance to dispel. Additionally, outright damages the animating spirit of the golem (Or the soul of the creature), dealing damage and sapping energy.

So wait, would damage to the animating spirit have the potential to actually destroy it? Not just reduce the energy available for combat?

Clarification time.

Explicit intentions.

- Untyped, Non-reduced damage to the part that holds the animating spirit.

- Reduction in energy available.



(Outright destroying an animating spirit via spell is a very, very strong effect, and would most certainly be imbalanced as of now.)

( It doesn't seem hard to implement, though, and is technically possible to make a soul-crushing spell.)

And yes, total destruction does seem a bit unbalanced at the moment. An interesting idea though, which could be fun to try and implement. :)
