[Round 1] Rings of yellow light flicker about the Glass Golem, increasing its speed. Your Glass Golem fails to back up while a dark kobold sorcerer begins to advance upon your Glass Golem. The defender's iron dagger is out of range with about 62 feet between them, but the attacker readies its Golem Wand of the Apprentice.
Your Glass Golem splinters nearby trees with shot after shot from its Golem Wand of the Apprentice, but also hits the right arm (2 dmg), the chest (2 dmg), the left leg (2 dmg), the left arm (2 dmg), the chest (4 dmg -- CRITICAL HIT!) and the chest (2 dmg).

Your Glass Golem is completely destroyed, its parts broken beyond repair or obliterated entirely.

Without your golem to protect you, a dark kobold sorcerer stops you from salvaging anything and drives you off.

Yeah! Its useless. I have an important question. If you knew you had a range of 255ft, which mind you very well might make you unhittable for all of combat, why in the hell you you only back up 62ft from your enemy? I though the wands might give glass golems a propose again. I must have been wrong. I hope this is a bug or something. This makes me sad.

EDIT: For the record I did kill one of these guys before the glass golem got blown up. And I think it takes one magical energy a round to use the wand.

The wand of the apprentice isn't very good with current mechanics. It also doesn't seem to truly be speed 15, but I'll need to test that to be sure.

If you want any effect from the wand though you'll need to strength boost. But again the huge range seems to play havoc with how the golems moves.

I'll go and give it a test and come back once I get what happens

Well scratch that ran a few test and got constant results.

Level 5 fully boosted addy is hitting 13-15 time per two rounds of combat for 210 damage (though I got 224 once).

I think the wand is working as intended even if the super range is mostly pointless except maybe the dragons.

Also I can also say pretty definitively that Hasten does not affect ranged weapons, and Second wind has zero effect on early rounds. I'm pretty sure it's only good for low energy golems and long fights with energy intensive weapons.

I think I may go and and do a bunch of test then update the wiki with better description and details.

The whole point to my mini test had nothing to do with damage. I figure, as pointed out, if you have that kind of range you should be able to survive most combats. It was a survivability test. With 30 speed not much should catch you.

The mechanics might need some tweaking. I would go as far as to say that in some cases the monster should never even get a shot in.

I agree a glass with the wand shouldn't get caught by anything short of a dragon. But also you where fighting dark kobold sorcerer so it's likely going to get a few shots in because it's also ranged. I'll need to give the glass a try want to send me over a level one glass for me to test with?
