So the SM of Daily Affairs was missing? No problem! She'd just have to step up to the plate! Jellikal Stanton frowned, looking over the heap of paperwork that covered the SM's desk. "Well," she said out loud, frowning, her hands on her hips. Back when Yamiko had only been the Administrative Assistant to the SM of Daily Affairs, she had stepped up to the plate managing things when they were difficult for him to handle. Now that Yamiko was the SM, Jellikal felt sure she'd be promoted to a similar position... only to find herself simply doing secretarial work for both SMs. Which is just silly, she had thought to herself time and time again. Don't they know who I am? I may be female but I'm still a STANTON. That used to mean something.
Well, she'd show them. She'd handle the affair, nice and tidy, and when Yamiko returned from whatever had happened, she'd be so grateful she'd promote Jellikal. That will show my brother, she reasoned. So what if I don't inherit anything - I could run this clan instead. As soon as she figured out what exactly was going on.

Some hours later, Rednaxela found himself facing an Official Clan Golem bearing a very, very Official-looking summons - to Chancellor Kuronue's office. A summons which... while not entirely unexpected, was certainly startling.

| Rednaxela sighs and shakes his head. "Well well... I wonder what this is regarding. Perhaps that certain inter-clan incident..." he comments to himself quietly. He starts heading out towards the clan offices, with an armless clay golem following behind him. More unusual still than it being armless, a repeater dart tube floats beside the golem as it moves. |

| He is escorted into the office where... Jellikal sits in one of the two chairs before the desk. The desk chair is empty; she gestures for him to sit in the other, having turned the chairs to face each other. "Ah, just the magus I wanted to see. Have a seat. I'm just going to ask you a few questions." What on earth IS that she's doing with her voice? Is she... is she trying to sound like a villain from a stage play?! |

"It seems your aggression levels have been heightened lately. Coincidentally, you were seen drinking with Sconibulus several times recently. Is there any connection between these events?" she asks, glancing down at a clipboard in her hands. |

"The investigation has fallen onto my shoulders." she says, in what she hopes is a dark, sinister voice. Mimicking a character she saw once, she moves to put her hands together - dropping her clipboard. With a faint blush she picks it up again. Okay how should she... she turns it sideways on her lap, the top of it facing the desk, on edge so it could provide a platform, and rests her elbows on that, steepling her fingers. There, that ought to look menacing.
"I suggest you be forthcoming about your recent activities..." she says slowly, drawing out her words. |

| He straightens up his back slightly and smiles slightly as the clipboard drops. He briefly puts a finger to his bottom lip before answering "Are you accusing me of something? Well... recently I've been spending my time gathering things from the domain of a certain ice dragon mostly. I've had the spare gems from such sent to both Sovereign Magistrates." |

| "Repaid?" asks the girl, startled out of her routine. She flips through pages in her clipboard, then scowls, her mask back into place "Ah yes. I see here that you have, in fact, donated.... wow that's actually a lot of Adamantine... for the repairs of your guardian, apparently unsolicited." She looks up, a scowl on her face. "However, if this has anything to do with any outside forces... if you have brokered any deals, for example, or taken bribes... it would be best to confess now and suffer only minor punishments. I would not like to see what Chancellor Kaelas Kuronue would do to you if you have anything to do with the current.... goings-on." Ooh, bringing out Kaelas' name - something big must be up.
