36 motivation to hack up each piece of the torso is HUGE! I don't really see the downside of making the motivation cost much lower, like maybe 6-10. This would make life much easier when trying to get certain pieces knocked off (like the abdomen). |

I actually just go out and get the piece knocked off for less than that. Of course I have to repair the rest of the damage, but it works for me. |

I do too, halftea. But doesn't it seem strange that we should have to do that, rather than just using the hacksaw itself? This should not be so. We did the quest for the hacksaw and if it's still more motivation efficient to send it against the giant and get the abdomen/pelvis knocked off then the hacksaw is worthless. |

well, no, not quite. Motivation efficient yes, but when you go to the giant, you don't come home with an intact abdomen to add to the shiny legs and pelvis that you can sell if you so desired. I say make it a base multiplier times a constant for the golem level. I can hack through flesh much faster than adamantine. |

A multiplier wouldn't be bad either, but I'd prefer a flat rate for utility purposes. The other problem with sending a golem out to get parts busted off is that often something breaks that you didn't want broken. |

Hmmm. Hadn't thought in exactly those terms before. It does make sense to have a variable for different materials, as well as maybe lowering the cost per item. |

Magus' Level-----------------250 XP Required for Next level---5000 Motivation Recovery----------1p / 1 min Actual Motivation Due to Leveling--850 Can Be Increased to...-------1000 At that level hacksaw's motivation cost won't be an issue (; |

I was thinking more about this and I really like the idea of higher lvl/harder golems = more motivation. But another idea I also kinda liked was selling the hacksaw and giving it a chance to break based on the lvl/type of the golem. Keep the motivation low and just make it based on a percentage. |
