This morning, I salvaged a flesh golem for cash. I still have the intro homunculus in the basement, and a flesh golem outside. When I try to start a new golem, I'm told there is no room in my basement.

What size basement do you have?

If it's a level one, did you by chance first create the other golem during a premium days session?

If so, it might be a case where once you transition back to the standard features, you keep any extra golems you made to fill the four premium basement slots, but not create any more until you have a vacant normal slot.

I have a level one, but I 95% sure I didn't create both extra golems during the premium session. Does the golem outside count against your basement limit?

It does. All golems in your basement, outside, on your worktable, and being built count toward your golem limit.
