This is something that needs to be worked on. It's basically impossible to take someone down if they have a stone or iron golem and lev 5 wall. You can only raid someones base if they forgot and left a fleshie out, which I took advantage of today :P When he retaliated with his iron agaisnt my stone, he did something like 50 damage while I did over 250 and broke his dome. Combat with other people needs to be tweaked somehow...I assume it's the bonuses from the wall that is causing the problems. One suggestion: Make walls have hp and make people "break through" the walls before even fighting someones golem. Then, when they fight, have them on equal footing. It would make your wall more like your golem. So wall level would be it's max available hp, and it would take 50 stone or whatever to repair one hp, just like a golem. |

I actually wish browser games would do something other than 'attack each other's base' for PvP. Always seems like a grief fest, no matter how it's slices. Maybe something more like an arena system for prizes? With regional arenas and brackets. Or perhaps clan wars with contested control points. |

now theres an idea. an arena for staged matches between golems with a prize money and no penalty to the loser other than the shame of defeat. maybe even have leader boards for the arena. |

The wall idea is not bad. Hmm, very intriguing. If there's no golem outside, you have to beat the wall down before you can destroy other structures, so it probably wouldn't be very hard to swap the checks around and put the wall first. Right now combat against players skews in favour of the defender to err on the side of caution. Sorry it's another one of those types of answers I've been giving a lot lately. :P An arena system is also a good idea, but that's definitely a Muelsfell v2.0 type thing -- there's still a lot of the basic game left for me to get in shape. It skews it a bit too well to the defender =P I'm *still* repairing my golem from the attack and I even bought 5000 extra iron to repair my golem with Also I noticed my alignment turned to evil tendancies from attacking Gryfter, Who had evil tendancies when I was neutral. Wouldn't it go the other way, a few points to good instead I mean? Anyways, on Gryfters Golem Specific Walls, I can just imagine a flesh wall, Sitting out in the air, Rotting, Making Magus faint when they get too close without a gas mask |

My level 3 flesh just got owned by a level 1 iron with a level 6 wall. no head nor arms...not much of anything left...ah well. Why should i invest in researching flesh at all if it is this badly skewed toward iron? Shouldn't a level 3 anything hit a bit harder than a level of the same type? Are hit points the only use for researching new levels? It seems a waste of time to even code it in if its not worth anything gamewise...just tell us to go straight to iron and buy a big wall. Combat in general seems broken to me. |

ROFL I just attacked the stone golem that my iron golem got torn to shreds when I attacked it, Now my flesh golem actually fared BETTER (did less damage but TOOK less damage) combat is seriously off. Baj, Flesh will probably have the best spells and cheapest repairs. Can't believe someone researched up flesh golems though O.o PS was your golem armoured? Armor counts for a lot now |

A level 3 Flesh is still technically lower than a level 1 Iron. Right now a golem with increased levels just gains more hit points; I'm toying with some ideas to give them additional improvements (damage, speed, etc). Power sources, armour, and eyes all make big differences in what a golem is capable of doing. There is, as I said, much tweakage needed yet. :) Kep |

I could see where a level 3 golem MIGHT be on the same level as a level 1 stone. Honestly now, if you hit your hand against or drop a iron pan on her foot it WILL hurt. So Yes I think a level one iron could take a level three fleshy. It might hold up better then a level 1 BUT it will still get owned if there is no armor. |

A level 3 flesh is the level equivalent of a level 1 wood. Thus I think they should have similar-LIKE stats. All golem types I think should eventually be a little more differentiated. Something maybe like: Flesh - comparatively faster than other golems Bone - resistant to all damage types except crushing (which it's prone too) Wood - natural thorns maybe? harder to hit? Clay - resistant to all damage types again? Stone - comparatively stronger Iron - all around buffed stats This gives you a little more differentiation So a level 5 flesh would be stat wise on par with a level 1 stone, except the flesh would be faster, and the stone would be stronger. I hope I made this understandable... |

Speed isn't enough to make up for raising a level 5 flesh =/ it'll hit a iron golem a hundred times than fall apart with the retaliation Flesh is defintally a PVE type of golem, its not meant for pvp. is what I think |

Dunno about the concept that fights skew towards the defender. Mentioned it in another thread, but someone keeps kicking my lvl 1 wood golem's ass with a level 1 bone golem. Despite the fact that I had a level 5 barricade, and then a level 6 barricade. Didn't seem to make that much of a difference. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Lvl 1 wood golem. Now armored all over. Wasn't during the first two fights (first fight damaged my golem badly, second disabled it and the attacker got in), partially armored during the second fight (same situation, badly damaged after first fight, disabled during second fight). In both cases, I damaged the bone golem, but not nearly as much as he damaged my wood golem, one level higher. |

I didn't want to name names and put people on the defensive. And yeah, at the moment Daniel shows as "Right now, the workshop is guarded by his Flesh Golem (Level 1 Iron)". So there you go. |

People who fall for the trick don't read through, When you push the 'fight' button, It doesn't show the golems name in the box anymore, Just the type. its laughable that people would fall for the trick, But its not a major issue for people who read through to make sure. I see it mostly as the same issue as leaving nothing or a weak golem out before you push the 12 hour button for jobs, Pay attention and it won't happen. Besides, Only Gryficus has attacked me so far =P EDIT-I did rename my golem now though, ;D Last Edited: Apr 9, 2008, 3:24 am |

I've come across something odd when attacking other golems. I trashed a bone golem and managed to destroy its chest but when I checked the player profile afterwards it said nothing about the chest and instead said that it was missing its right arm. Is this delibrate or a bug. Hmmmm maybe I should've posted this in the bugs section... |

No, the chest never goes away. That's why you can't make replacement chests. :P It always comes back at 1 HP. |

However, if you attack them again when their chest is at 1 hp from a previous fight (i.e. their golem shut down from excessive damage) and you end up hitting their chest, their entire golem is destroyed. Evil people like me know about this =D |

Found out more about why the guy's golem was so effective... 250 point power source, and 14% accuracy eyes. Half again as many attacks, and more likely to hit on each attack. Back to the library, looks like. |

Not to brag, but that's my bone golem... ok it is to brag I suppose, but I can pretend it's feedback about the combat system. I actually kind of like it this way, it means that someone who is willing to invest in better parts, (and risk those parts) can be effective with lower level golem types against someone who bought a 'leet' stone golem off the market and left the 10% eyes and 100 energy parchment in it. (side note, almost took one of those stones down last night, ran out of motivation and bone right before limbs started falling off it :( Is there a base hit% for golems? Is a golem with the 2% eyes stuck with a 2% chance to hit? However it is, %hit is amazing, so if there's better than 14% eyes out there I'd love to know. |

Want to hear something funny? That stone golem was 100% made of stone level one parts with glass eyes and a Poseidon's Alchemical voidstone... but don't worry,I lost him with everything that was equiped :/ don't be so high and mighty... before your 5 attacks, there was a visit of iron one, and two others after your series |
