So, it occurred to me that there's a lot of us Anime fan types on here. Are any of the rest of you going to be at Anime Expo this weekend? (America's biggest anime convention! :O) |

Sadly no. Otakon is closer to me, but usually my work schedule interferes. :( |

I would love to make it to Anime Expo one year, but alas that will not be this one. The closest anime convention to me is Anime Weekend Atlanta, and I usually miss that one, too. Planning to make it to AWA this year, though. :D AX is the largest, but what are the next largest ones? Otakon as number two, then... what? Kep |

AKON is pretty big and I'm almost certain it's the biggest con in Texas but I'm not sure about where it ranks in the whole of the U.S. |

Largests isn't always the best though. I have more time with SF/F cons than anime cons anyway, and while the biggest and most well-known is Dragon*Con in Atlanta, that's not one I go to frequently. Especially if I have my older kids going as well. O_o Better off going to one of the regional Cons, especially since they usually have at least one or two rooms dedicated to showing anime as well as various dealers. Still, if you go to AnimeCons [www.animecons.com/] you can get lists of Cons scheduled. Not sure how much anime is at any particular one, but its a resource. |

AKON is in Dallas, and yes it IS the biggest anime con in Texas. I believe it is also the biggest con in the southwest. Thousands of people flood dallas every year to attend. I think Acen is pretty big as well. |

I always go to Fanime, and my university puts on a scifi con called Stellarcon every year, if any of you are in the area. I also go to What the Hell Con, which is in the same city. |
