I've been trying for about a week to have a quest item drop of the creature "Spined Rat" for the trophy. Am i just not going after the right creature or is there somethig like search for that i have not found in game. from what i understand the quest items are drops from creatures that you kill. any help in this area would be appreciated.

The Spined Rat can be found in the Ironwood, to the far southwest of the map. After you successfully kill it you have to center your map view over the area and whatever item you need should be scavengable from there.

Really? That's new. I just always killed the creature and the trophy would be part of the loot, plus whatever else was there.
You could find it in your storafe as a creature trophy if youlooked, although it's more typical to just turn it in for your quest ittem.
