Since Caduceus kindly asked us to stop discussing a clan in a thread named after said clan, we should have a thread not named after the clan to discuss them and their evil tactics which always improve their alignment.

Though, to be honest, I'm gonna start adopting their tactics anyway as it's getting to the point where I won't survive playing nice.

Oh dear. Well, please stay out of my yard while you're doing it. I'm poor and my troops are starving. A two-front war benefits nobody.

Well, we're officially at peace with with the Knights Magier atm, so I'm officially supposed to refrain from attacking them (an exception will doubtless be made for CommComms). We had a good little war there, with the result that every single one of the Knights resorted to putting out nothing but one-legged armless headless flesh golems for a good month or so. Hehe.

Aside from that, CommComms seems to be the biggest offender; and has even been violating this peace. Clan politics being what they are, either he's going to officially agree to stop attacking us, be kicked out of the Knights, or there's going to be another war.

That said, if you despise this ridiculous 'inquisition', and would rather join a militant, though friendly clan of 'self-interested' magi; seek out the New World Order. We offer production of all items at cost for our members, up to and including Adamantine Golems. Also, we've got the muscle to beat up CommComm's Adamantine, and will probably be doing so soon if he continues his antics.

Eh, I was never told by anyone in my clan to stop attacking you, and I still haven't been, so I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep on attacking your nearby members whenever the fancy strikes me. As far as I know we're in a state of "not war" rather than "peace". Hell I haven't even been asked by anyone from your clan to stop attacking them!

If you'd like to join a clan that actually supports its members with advice, resources, and a primary focus that has a tangible benefit rather than something unimplemented, hit up MAGIER.

We'll let you use either high level exotics, or annoying punching bags for defense. What more, we'll pretty much give away any items for free to valued members. Also, we've got replacement adamantines for any that happen to break.

-cheers

I suppose that is my fault for not asking you sooner. Take this as my formal petition.

Please, cease your attacks on the members of NWO.

There we go! Not a single threat or insult or demand! Alrighty, until directed to resume by the man upstairs (Father Coyne) I will entirely cease my attacks on any NWO members. Wasn't that easy? Anyone else please direct future requests to my inbox.

I'll take a little slander, but not outright lies about our performance in combat. We never had less than four exotic golems out for you guys to bleed against, and there was hardly a golem with an effective level above 4 out in front of any of you after the third week. :P

If it wasn't for the fact that I'd already said I'd set up a clan from the beginning with Malakor I'd have gone with NWO and wish I had now...

But the fact that CommComms brings down this entire clans standings with everyone should be looked at with concern. I might've actually got along with the Magier if it wasn't for him. The fact that he is still supported and not even reprimanded by his clan leaders for constant unjustified raids is enough to make me question that point though.

What actually happened was that both clans found the same strategy of leaving out crap golems for the other side to waste motivation on, and keeping their good golems only for attack so they didn't get beat up.

unfortunately, when both sides did this, the war became on of complete monotony of destroying headless flesh golems and getting a few resources :P

So both clans were sporting weak defenses at the end of the war, but in reality, still had a lot of fighting power.

What actually happened was that Latour's mama so fat, on Halloween she says "Trick or meatloaf!"

Oh snap! Are you going to take that, Latour?

Yeah, that was actually really disappointing. I mean, I joined the Order so I could be a thuggish brutal Knight smashing things with my pointy stick and... actually considered I'm supposed to be virtuous that's a little disturbing.

By the way, isn't it kinda late to be salvaging our recruitment thread? I mean it's now about 40% out-of-date recruitment followed by 60% flamewar.

Not that we don't appreciate the gesture and all. Downright decent of y'all. Which, given how you're supposed to be the evil ones is a little disturbing. Shouldn't evil mages be... torturing small woodland creatures or something instead of standing up for "fair play"?

If no one is "good" then how is "evil" supposed to be all treacherous and stuff? :D

Those who RP evil usually end up being the more honorable in these online games. "Good" is just an excuse to do what you want and say you were right.

The two are in no way mutually exclusive.

Not sure if it will really help you salvage your recruitment tread but since the issue was resolved in a happy manner I've with drawn my previous comments

Note that he specified those who RP evil. If you want to be technical about it, he's referring to Lawful Evil cleverness as opposed to Chaotic Evil asshattery.

My my... these guys just get lower than low. Now we're sending spy operations against clans that apparently don't concern them. For such a bunch of bullies, this is pathetic. Though I shouldn't say that, their file on me might get a red cross or whatever their great administration system dictates or whatever.

Apparently, if they don't like you, you should disband.

Just a quick side comment...

I don't think it'd be appropriate for me to confirm who has spies in what clan, but I will say that last time I checked several clans had or have potential spies in other clans.

As mentioned in the multi-account thread I am taking steps to restrict the usefulness of this tactic since it hinders some of my future plans. :)

No... I don't think so. If you're representative of the group's ethics, I prefer to stay as clear as possible.
