Iron, is by far, the most used primary material. Its kinda silly really, how much some things cost in iron, while other materials are kinda left alone in the cold, left to collect dust and randomly sprout legs due to magical bleed. *cough* anyhow. Aside from the armor thread I posted a while ago, why not have a new reseach *non clan* item tree? make small items out of the other materials. Cause unless you have a bone/wood/clay/stone golem, or have the money to constantly upgrade your productions, you'll have 0 iron, and 10000's of the others. Anyhow... just some *very* early morning thoughts... must go deal with that magicial bleedoff that new voidstone is emitting... |

Definitely needs to be more things using the low-level resources, yeah. |

Tie-in to another future idea: make flesh, bone, wood and clay all very important for the job system. Flesh and bone= academic things, libraries, bookstores. Wood- furniture, carving, non-Magi houses. Clay- pottery, plumbing (medieval tech level), heath spa. I find the image of my clay golem wrapping people in seaweed and cucumbers while gossiping to be amusing. Sue me. And having golems/Magi building houses for the non-Magi could be lucrative or very good PR (if done for charity/good alignment points). |

personally I don't think the picture of a clay golem (let alone any golem) coming back from giving a beat down to a goblin to wrap someone in seaweed and dip them in mud would appeal to the female population. Sven the human, who has a strange resemblance to Fabio (or whoever), would probably be more popular... |

Now that we are already really off topic, have you seen the picture of the clay golem on the banner on the charts page? No one would want that rubbing...well anything on them. |

Whoa. Totally missed the appearance of the Clay golem. Although it could be the Mosswash Clay Hulk instead. :) |

*nudges the topic back into the rails* *ahem* So how about suggestions? So far, roaming about, there have been ideas for... 'Minions' (mini golems?) that do odd jobs for you while you are away. 'useful item research' Ever try and pry a rivet out of something with your bare hands? Or maybe a little mouse golem in a hamster wheel to power things in the office? Variations/variety in armor. (I made an entire thread on this one) Any others? |

EVen if it didn't, pardon the pun, iron out the differences in resource usefulness, I'd still support this. Some minor items for people not in an Item Spec clan would be a great idea. |
