This is also on the news page: ---- Muelsfell is always being refined. To help improve password security, the pre-generated passwords that are created with a new account now expire after two weeks. These passwords are randomly generated and sent to new users via email, which means that they will never be as secure as a personalized password that you yourself have decided. If you are still relying on a pre-generated password and it's been more than two weeks, you'll be redirected to the profile page where you'll be required to update your password. Once you change your password, you'll be able to access the game as normal. Remember that a good password should be a mix of letters and characters and can be between six and thirty characters long. Never share your password with others. New players will see a reminder that their password will need to be updated within two weeks, but players who have already been active may find themselves redirected to the profile page. I apologize for the hassle and inconvenience, but in the long run this will be an improvement to account security. ---- Something else I should mention: I do not know what anyone's password is as this is encrypted before being put into the database. All I can do for a forgotten password is reset the password, which creates a pre-generated password and sends it via email. If someone you know is being sent to the profile page when logging in and doesn't know what to do, send them this news item. Everything should work perfectly after a password update. If not, please contact me right away and I'll look into it. Apologizes if this has inconvenienced anyone. -Kep |
