Does anyone else think there should be a clan to oppose NWO, for RP purposes? I don't count MAGIER because they are no longer good aligned only as a clan. NWO is evil only; I search the good only clans and found two, both very small. Also I think it would be nice if there were as many Saints as there are Angels of Death.

Good is so overrated. Most people, left to their own, try to be good people - the really unique ones are the villains.

I'm just saying for the sake of RP, maybe someone ought to start a clan along these lines:

A knight is sworn to valor.
His heart knows only virtue.
His blade defends the helpless.
His word speaks only truth.
His wrath undoes the wicked.

Well, I started a clan along those lines. Things just went in a slightly different direction after a while. ^^;

Good and Evil are inappropriate points of view in todays world...

The only true way to the ultimate is through the acceptance of all and the path of neutrality...

And the study of alchemy... Don't forget the study of all existence...

As one of my collegues says... Find out what makes the universe tick...
Then stop the ticking...

Oh, our description was edited about a month in to reflect our more edgy combat based focus. I'm not sure when the transition really happened, but we went from an Ultima IV sort of quest for virtue, to what the "Mercy Killers" from Plane Scape: Torment were. And now we're something different all together. *shrug*

Oh, and I didn't know you actually talked Elsworth. :P Good to see you poking your head out of the hole.

The quest for the secrets to the universe do not generally allow time to engage in frivolous activities... o_0

I think it might have something to do with equivalent exchange. Open you mouth and get attacked, keep your mouth shut people are liable to forget about you.

and, Elsworth, any luck on the philosopher's stone?

Why do mentally hear the above being spoken by a televangelist?

no no no...a televangelist would tell you to send money, and then say it was for charity (just ask MAGIER). Elsworth sounds like he is either high or a cultist. (my advice...lay off the red water!!)

Well, if believing we can find the secrets to the universe makes me and my clan members cultists in your opinion than so be it...

If you know the truth behind the red water then you will realise that we cannot be atempting that method to produce our transmutations...

To bring the thread slightly back on track...

I don't think that there needs to be a clan dedicated to oppose NWO (i.e. a good aligned clan)... You don't need a framework like that to stand up for what you believe in (i.e. RP) you just need to be true to your character...

I also think there are enough 'neutral' clans to ensure that there's enough RP for everyone...

I wasn't accusing you or the State Alchemists of being a cult. I was trying to make a joke. As for making a good aligned clan, it was just a thought. Any clan that is formed is up to the individual player. I am aware that the game is balanced as is.

@ Nanashi: If you want to create a clan specifically to oppose us, go right ahead. I'm still inclined to think that one already exists, but whatever.
