me, personally? no, I like it in OTAKU. And if you are talking about MAGIER, they are no longer good aligned only.

Well, we don't force people to be good aligned to join, although we do strongly encourage it. It's all part of our clan's internal policy of tolerance and openness.

The policy seems to be working, though. A quick browse of our members reveals one full-fledged member who is neutral, and all the rest are good-aligned.

Our open door policy means anyone can join, so we have to screen them a bit before allowing full access (there are SO many spies these days, like rats really.) Among the new members only one is (slightly) evil-aligned. So to all intents and purposes we still are a good-aligned clan.

EDIT - Before posting, notice that it's an INTERNAL policy of tolerance and openness.

Only to those of us old enough to, like y'know, have lived thru the 80's. ;p

edit: Don't get me started on the 70's. The less I remember the better... :)

I'm having flashbacks to college and my old, old Ethics class. Here I thought the Jesuits that taught it has some good disingenuous dialog.

Hey, don't knock it 'till you've tried it. Internal tolerance and external savagery worked pretty well for the Mongols, and they actually won a land war in Asia.

But the point I'm trying to make is that by the numbers, we are a good-aligned clan. Whether we're actually nice people is a question that will have to wait until someone wins the war and gets to write the history books.

The great thing about being Universities is that we don't have to wait, the history books are being written and archived as we speak, and Magier, unfortunately, is typecast as bad guys.

Army of Darkness. B movie, but in some ways that makes it funnier, even if you are only laughing at the "special effects". Clatu...berata...umm...necktie!

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say "good" is a plucky band of adventurers, and "evil" is a big organization.

I'm going to go even further out on a limb and say its always been that way in RPGs.

You may now attempt an "earthquake test" and otherwise attempt to rock the world of the silly man doing a crane stance in the treetops.
