| Provinces of Muelsfell | Muelsfell is a relatively small section of a much larger world. Still, it covers a massive area, ranging from arid desert to frost-coated wasteland and all points between. The more hospitable areas of plains, woodland, and hills have been split up into five provinces. Each of these provinces is unique and governed by distinctively different groups of people. In addition to populated and stable provinces, there are notable areas that are wild and untamed, typically infested with all manner of monster. |

| Not out of view of the flying city of Rimesvin lies the Glacial Rifts, a fractured land split by a slow moving ocean of solid ice. This giant glacier has not moved very far south in the past century, and the summers here are hardly warm events, but still each year has generated a new series of cracks within its surface. For the most part, even the eccentric mages of Icemuse avoided the Glacial Rifts as a worthless expanse of frozen waste.
Then in the early fall of 1489, a group of adventurers discovered an inverted ziggurat in newly revealed crevice north of Longsreach Tundra. Evidence of ancient habitation was intriguing to the Icemuse magocracy to say the least, and they quickly moved Dethsfell Rest -- then known as Ardensfell and still capable of flight -- to secure the area. The ziggurat was left mostly unexplored as winter's approach resealed the crevice, and to this day little is known of it. Those concerned with conspiracy theory occasionally whisper that the Cataclysm was not the cause of Ardensfell's fall, and to be wary of disembodied voices in the Glacial Rifts. | ||
